Fundación CLC World collaborated in this year’s Mijas Libraries’ campaign ‘In summer, don’t let reading pass you by’.
The dynamic initiative was widely accepted by youngsters. “In total, 37 children participated with around 26 of them finishing the book. Compared to previous years, this is a very high number. Perhaps it has to do with the unusual summer we have spent. It has been a motivating campaign that has allowed them to get to know Mijas Pueblo”, said Councilor for Libraries, Natalia Martínez.
Hernán Lara, Foundation ambassador, expressed his satisfaction with the positive results of the campaign which encourages the reading habit. “It’s the first time we’ve collaborated with the Mijas Libraries area and it has been very emotive, especially for the children and, above all for reading, which is so important.”
Similarly another Foundation ambassador, Lara Ann Main, highlighted how proud the organisation was to give each of the winners a voucher to enjoy a Team Marina experience, when the health situation allows. “Let’s hope next year we can work within the ‘new normality’ to carry out the activities.”
Fundación CLC World Foundation continues to support the citizens of its community, particularly the youngest.
