Mijas, February 18, 2020.-
CLC World Resorts & Hotels has organised the EncontrArte art exhibition for the first time, with the collaboration of the municipality of Mijas.
During this cultural event, approximately 40 works by local artists – Maria Escalona, Michéle Lehmann, Salvador Madueño and Eduardo Query are being exhibited – a clear commitment to the Mijas art scene.
Juan Miguel Marcos, the Director of Human Resources at CLC World, has highlighted the relevant role that culture plays in the progress of society: “By hosting EncontrArte, we want to promote local talent and share artistic impressions to contribute to the cultural development of our community.”
At the same time, CLC Club La Costa World hopes to enrich the world of their employees by displaying the art in their work environment. “The most important thing about our support of art is that we can share it – culture is a means of communication with our staff and customers”, added Juan Miguel Marcos.
Verónica Ensberg, the Councillor for Culture in Mijas points out the importance of supporting the local art scene: “We will continue collaborating with this type of event, which not only promotes the work of our local artists to residents, but also to the large number of tourists here.”
The artists who are represented at EncontrArte will donate 10% of the proceeds from the sale of their works to Fundación CLC World.
The exhibition can be visited from March 3rd to 22nd in the Sunset Lounge from 10am to 5pm, Monday to Sunday.
