Fundación CLC World crosses borders with the ‘Caravan for Peace’ campaign

Mijas, February 6, 2020.-

Fundación CLC World has once more taken part in the ‘Caravan for Peace’ campaign – a humanitarian cause to collect food for the Sahrawi refugee population.

For the third consecutive year, 300 kilos of food, including rice, oil and sugar, have been delivered to the Mijas Association of Friendship with the Sahrawi people.

The food collection and delivery were made with the assistance of the President of Fundación CLC World, Juan Miguel Marcos, accompanied by the Mayor of Mijas, Josele González, the President of the Mijas organisation, Mari Carmen Cortés and other municipal representatives.

Juan Miguel Marcos highlighted the great work the Mijas organisation carries out:

“We know the fantastic work they do and how important it is. It’s great to know that a small food investment like this can help so many families.”

The Mayor, Josele González indicated that last year 50,000 kilos of food were collected through this initiative to help almost 200,000 people in very disadvantaged conditions: “From the town hall we thank CLC World for its continuous support, which in this case crosses borders. We also thank all the volunteers who continue to support the Sahrawi people who have been fighting for their freedom for almost 45 years, and for bringing first-world conditions closer to them.
