CLC World’s Costa del Sol employees gathered to commemorate World Breast Cancer Day.
Around 300 team members dressed in Fundación CLC World’s special pink T-shirts gathered for a family photo under the Spanish motto #ContigoDamoslaCara, alongside the mayor of Mijas, Josele González, and other town hall members.
The sea of pink represents the internal fundraising campaign that is underway during the whole of October for AECC (Spanish Association Against Cancer), with every department carrying out different activities to raise funds for this important cause.
The Fundación’s president, Juan Miguel Marcos, is delighted with the pink movement that inspires the company each year.
“I can only congratulate this great family that every day, not just today, demonstrates its enormous solidarity with others. Our volunteers offer their time, dedication and energy to carry out numerous activities aimed at improving the lives of those in need.”
The mayor of Mijas once again thanked the important work that CLC World employees have been doing in favour of the community’s residents and associations.
According to AECC, breast cancer is the most common tumour in western women. In Spain, about 33,307 new instances of breast cancer are diagnosed annually (Breast cancer data in Spain 2019).
